 Conclusion
The Lagan Corridor Initiative will materialise over the long term, involve many thousands of local people and scores of professional organisations. From its inception, milestones will be reached annually and short and medium term goals will be achieved and communicated to all interested parties. The benefits will emerge for all to see and for everyone to enjoy. The Council will facilitate these objectives by a mixture of direct action such as land acquisition and by influencing other statutory organisations and key private sector developers.
