The Lisburn-Castlereagh PEACE III Partnership
Lisburn City Council is the lead partner in The Lisburn-Castlereagh PEACE III Partnership covering the Lisburn City Council and Castlereagh Borough Council areas.
The Partnership is currently comprised of 14 Elected Representatives and 11 Social Partners from across the cluster area.
The Partnership has recently completed the implementation of Phase I of its PEACE III Action Plan which is financed under Theme 1.1 “Building Positive Relations at the Local Level” of the EU’s PEACE III Programme.
In December 2011 The Partnership also received an offer from The Special EU Programmes Body, which is the Managing Authority for the EU PEACE III Programme, to deliver Phase II of their Action Plan. This phase of funding which currently runs until 31st December 2013 will be delivered under the following 5 Themes:
- Leadership for a shared society
- Future together - youth and families
- Shared communities and spaces
- Working bridges - building and development cross border connections
- Celebrating cultural diversity and identity
