KILMAKEE ACTIVITY CENTRE Since Kilmakee Activity Centre opened its doors in the summer of 1981 it has been established as an important Centre for meeting the recreational needs of those who live in the Seymour Hill / Dunmurry and surrounding areas of the City. Situated just off the main Lisburn-Belfast Road at Seymour Hill, Dunmurry it is easily accessible to the residents of Derriaghy, Lambeg, Dunmurry and Finaghy areas, who have made use of the facilities for over 27 years. 
Following major refurbishment in 2001and 2002 the Centre's multi-purpose Sports Hall now has a new (Pulastic) floor and ventilation system. In 2004 our Hi Tech Fitness Suite has been re-located to a larger room and additional equipment added. Also in 2004 a new Pool Room had been created which houses two coin-operated pool tables. In 2005 we had installed a new type of "Aromaspa" Steam Capsule. In 2006 / 2007 /2008 we purchased 6 peices of new fitness suite equipment to enhance our Hi Tec Gym. In order to meet the varied recreational / leisure demands of the local population, Kilmakee has developed a full programme which is aimed at providing an enjoyable experience for all, whether their needs be sporting or less energetic. Among these activities are: Mixed activity sessions, Archery, Judo, Hip hop dancing / Cheer leading, Bowling, Age concern, Youth club, Gymnastics club, Special care coaching session and more. Kilmakee caters for individuals and groups with disibilities, (activity coaches can be supplied if demand justifies). The building is easily accessible by ramps and all facilities are on ground floor level. Facilities: 
Multi-Purpose Sports Hall A multi-purpose hall (22.5m x 16.5m) accommodates 3 badminton courts, volleyball, hockey and 5-aside soccer. This hall is also available for shows, display, events etc. The hall is equiped with a Pulastic Sports Floor and has an air ventilation and humidity control system for customers comfort. This excellent sized hall measuring 12 meters by 9 meters is ideal for club or group activities, conferences, dances, gymnastics and much more. Hi tec Fitness Suite 
Work out in our modern fitness suite with our cardio-vascular and resistance equipment either as a individual or with family and friends. A modern kitchen suitable for most functions. Birthday party packages are our speciality and are very popular at Kilmakee. A birthday party your child will remember for years to come, no fuss and no tidying up for mum and dad. Party set up in banqueting style.  AROMA STEAM CAPSULE  Our new Aroma Steam Spa Health Capsule Suite Reduces stress and tension, stimuates the body's natural immune system, deep cleans, detoxifying, regenerating & rejuvenating the skin. It helps relieve respiratory conditions & cold symptoms, eases muscular aches & pains. Summer Recreation Scheme The Summer Scheme runs for a three week period, usually the last week in July and the first two weeks in August. A really enjoyable and educational experience for all the children. 
All the facilities at Kilmakee are at ground floor level and entrance/exit is by ramp.
