CARAVAN LICENCE

The Caravans Act (Northern Ireland) 1963 requires a landowner to have planning permission and a caravan site licence before allowing caravans onto his land. There are specific exemptions as in the case of an exempyed Caravan Club.

A caravan licence will set conditions on the landowner in relation to Density, Roadways, Hard standing, Fire points and fire safety, Electrical safety, Water supply, Drainage, Toilet and washing provision, Refuse disposal and other conditions pertinent to the location and safety of the public.
