Urgent gas cooker warning

If you have one of the gas cooker models listed here, you will need to contact the manufacturer and arrange to have it modified.

The affected models are made by the following companies:

• New World
• Belling
• Beko
• Flavel
• Leisure.

This is because carbon monxide gas is produced if the grill on some of these models is left on while the grill door is closed.

This gas can cause death.

Some models produced by these companies require an urgent alteration to prevent the build-up of carbon monoxide gas. The alteration is free.

You should read the data plate at the bottom front edge of your cooker and check if you have one of the models listed below. If you do, call the helpline numberimmediately to arrange a modification.

If you are unsure about the model of your gas cooker, call your manufacturer’s own helpline to check it out.

New World and Belling gas cookers
