LISBURN CITY CENTRE MANAGEMENT

Lisburn City Council works closely with and part funds Lisburn City Centre Management (formerly Lisburn Development), an effective private/publicpartnership.

It manages and co-ordinates several key strategic programmes on behalf of the Council.  Lisburn City Centre Management .It  aims to impact upon and improve the overall competitiveness, economic circumstances and profile of Lisburn City Centre. 

Key developments in Lisburn City centre include the official opening of the new CUSP private sector development, Lisburn Square, which has brought 21 new retailers to the City and the second extension to Bow Street within 18months reflects the confidence in the Lisburn economy.

Exciting developments within the immediate city centre have been matched every step of the way by the development of Northen Ireland's most only designated out of town RegionalCentre. 

Rnsuring that the development of the City Centre is managed in a co-ordianted way A Strategic Framework was recently launched for the City. The Framework addresses many complex issues including infrastructure, city centre performance, accessibility, inclusiveness amd creating a night-time economy.

 CCTV

The Council is a member of Lisburn Commerce Against Crime (LCAC), a partnership established to reduce crime levels in the city centre.  Key achievements to date include the network of radiolink for city centre retailers (now extended to include the evening and nightime economy) and a £1m network of CCTV cameras in Lisburn City Centre, Hillsborough, Dunmurry and Moira funded by Lisburn City Council, the Police Authority for Northern Ireland and the local Private Sector.
