CIVIC AMENITY SITES
The Council operates two Civic Amenity Sites located at the Cutts, Derriaghy and Drumlough, Dromara Road just outside Hillsborough.
Site users are asked to segregate their waste into different recyclable materials before visiting the sites. This means when entering the site you will be directed to the appropriate recycling/disposal area.
Recyclable materials can not be disposed of in the general waste skips as all mixed general waste is sent for disposal in landfill. It is essential that only non-recyclable materials are disposed in the general waste skips. In order to make a visit to these sites as quick as possible it is advisable to pre-segregate waste before coming to the facility.
For more information on the Civic Amenity Sites download the site-user leaflet.
