BIRTHS AND DEATHS
Any births or deaths registered in Northern Ireland from 1997 onwards are now available in this office.
If you would like to obtain a certified copy of a birth or death certificate, you must provide us with the exact details. You may call in and complete an application form and you will receive the certificate, providing all information on the form is correct.
Certified copy of Birth or Death Certificates cost £14.00

MARRIAGES
This office only holds the following marriage records:
Protestant Lisburn Marriages from 1845
Roman Catholic Lisburn Marriages from 1864
Any marriages throughout Northern Ireland (civil or religious) from April 2004 onwards.
* Please note from Friday, 5 November 2010 we will no longer be able to issue marriage certificates or information on marriages from 1845 to March 2004, as the Registers will be temporarily moved to the General Register Office. If you wish to obtain a certified copy of any marriage for this period, please contact the General Register Office on 028 90252000 or www.nidirect.gov.uk/gro
If you would like to obtain a certified copy of a marriage certificate for any marriages from April 2004 onwards, you must provide us with the exact details, i.e date of marriage, venue, groom's full name, brides full name, etc.
If you are sending for a certified copy of a particular marriage - it is essential to give the exact date and place of the event and include a cheque or postal order in UK Sterling made payable to Lisburn City Council.

CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS
This office holds civil partnership certificates from December 2005 for all of Northern Ireland.
If you would like to obtain a certified copy of a civil partnership certificate you must provide us with the exact details, i.e date of civil partnership, venue and full names of both parties, etc.
A certificate costs £14.00.
You may call in and complete an application and receive the certificate or write to this office, along with all of the above information and relevant fee and the certificate will be forwarded to you in the post.
