National Play Day
27 July 2012

Lisburn City Council’s Leisure Services Department are providing extra entertainment in the play park in Wallace Park to celebrate National Playday on Wednesday 1st August 2012 between 2pm and 4pm.

Come and play at the Red Apple Arts play station featuring dragon and princess fantasy play and prop making.  Make coloured bunting to decorate the play park with the help of local artist Anu Sundaralingam.

Playday is the national day for play, traditionally celebrated on the first Wednesday in August. Thousands of children and their families get out to play at hundreds of community events across the UK.

As well as a celebration of children's right to play, Playday is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives.
