MUSIC REVOLUTION

Featuring an incredible soundtrack and eclectic mix of cutting edge talent, Island Arts Centre proudly presents its fourth summer festival of contemporary music – MUSIC REVOLUTION ‘06.

Headline acts unveiled today include: chartbusting English indie stars Delays; a first visit to Northern Ireland by Bell X1 since their album Flock topped  the Irish charts; our very own Duke Special fresh from his signing to V2Records; Scottish underground phenomenon Camera Obscura; and madcap New  Yorker Thomas Truax bringing his own brand of genius to the proceedings. 

“All of these exceptional acts are proof of Island Arts Centre’s commitment to providing an amazing live music experience for all fans,” said Arts Manager Siobhan McCormick. “There’s no disputing the quality of the line-up and Island Arts Centre is thrilled with the diversity of music of the festival this year.” 

Emerging talent from Northern Ireland is once again interspersed with the visiting headliners, with the likes of Red Sirus, Fast Emperors, and The Delawares appearing. The very newest talent will once again feature as four new bands play a live face off for significant prizes as Music Quest Reloaded returns.  Music magazine Alternative Ulster presents a rocking four band lineup headlined by Lisburn’s own mojoFURY. On its festival fringe but equally adding impact at Music Revolution is a song craft seminar presented in association with the Northern Ireland Music Industry Commission. Festivalgoers keen not to miss out the intimate and spectacular  location of Island Arts Centre combined with great mix of live performance and high presentation values are warned to get their tickets early! Music Revolution Tickets are available from Island Arts Centre Box Office,Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn T: 028 92 509254 and held across the counter a the Ticketshop, Virgin Megastore, Royal Avenue, Belfast, T: 028 90  323744(where a commission of £1 per ticket will be charged).
