NI Rural Development Programme 2007- 2013, Axis 3 - Rural Life

Lagan Rural Development is the delivery mechanism for Axis 3 of the NI Rural Development Programme 2007- 2013, Axis 3 - Rural Life. The Partnership has been allocated £8.7 million to manage and deliver the grant programme aimed at supporting projects within the eligible rural areas of Lisburn City Council, Castlereagh Borough Council and Belfast City Council. The programme is delivered under six distinctive measures detailed below:

  • 3.1 Diversification into Non – Agricultural Activities
  • 3.2 Business Creation and Development
  • 3.3 Encouragement of Tourism Activities
  • 3.4 Basic services for the Economy and Rural Population
  • 3.5 Village Renewal and Development
  • 3.6 Conservation and Upgrading of the Rural Heritage

We are currently open for applications for the following measures:

We will open for applications under the following measures of the programme from Monday 22 August 2011- Friday 7 October 2011 at 5.00pm:

  • 3.1 Diversification into Non – Agricultural Activities (Farm Diversification)
  • 3.2 Business Creation and Development
  • 3.3 Encouragement of Tourism Activities
  • 3.4 Basic services for the Economy and Rural Population (Contact Office regarding eligibility of project)
  • 3.5 Village Renewal and Development (Only applicants with approved Lagan Rural Partnership Village Action Plans can apply)
  • 3.6 Conservation and Upgrading of the Rural Heritage

*Please Note: For any applications that involve capital build/ refurbishments, FULL PLANNING PERMISSION must be in place prior to application.
