NI Rural Development Programme 2007 – 2013, Axis 3 – Rural LifeLagan Rural Partnership is the delivery mechanism for Axis 3 of the NI RuralDevelopment Programme 2007–2013 – Rural Life. The Partnership has been allocated £8.7 million to manage and deliver the grant programme aimed at supporting projects within the eligible rural areas of Lisburn City Council, Castlereagh Borough Council and Belfast City Council. The programme is delivered under six distinctive measures detailed below: - 3.1 Diversification into Non – Agricultural Activities

- 3.3 Encouragement of Tourism Activities
- 3.4 Basic services for the Economy and Rural Population
- 3.5 Village Renewal and Development
- 3.6 Conservation and Upgrading of the Rural Heritage
The NI Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 is part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and is managed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The closing date for applications under this call is Friday 4th December 2009 at 5pm. This application call will also request applications for strategic projects between £50,000 - £250,000.
