Local businesses and organisations attended the Lisburn City Business Awards on Thursday 28th May 2009 at the Lagan Valley Island Civic Centre, Lisburn to celebrate entrepreneurship and local business success.
The awards were organised by Lisburn City Council, who were encouraged by the large business turn-out at the event, which was completely sold out.
The event was hosted by local writer and impressionist, Sean Crummey, with 230 guests in attendance representing all the stakeholders, entrants and finalists.
Former Chairman of the Council's Economic Development Committee, Councillor Allan Ewart commented, "Lisburn City Council is proud once again to act as main sponsor for this the third Lisburn City Business Awards, giving due recognition to the hard work and dedication of our City’s local companies. The Gala Awards night was a great success and I would like to congratulate all of the winners and finalists on the night, the standard of applications was exceptional, testament to the calibre of companies located in the City. On behalf of the Council I would like to thank all involved including all entrants and the sponsors without whom none of this would have been possible."
