
Lisburn City Council, working through Economic Development and Environmental Health, has partnered with the Public Health Agency to promote its health and wellbeing programme, which aims to work with local employers to encourage their staff to take positive steps to improving their own health and wellbeing, helping to support a work-life balance.
The Lisburn Workplace Health Partnership aims to bring together those organisations from statutory, business, community and voluntary sectors that have expertise and interest in this area to develop a support service to enhance the health and social wellbeing of the workforce across the City of Lisburn.

The "Healthy People = Healthy Business" breakfast seminar which launched the "Invest In People Profit In Business" Initiative took place on Wednesday 21st March 2012 from 8.30am - 10.00am in the Island Civic Centre, Lisburn.

Women's Aid:

Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid work with the issue of domestic violence and have developed over the last 35 years a range of services that provide safety, protection and support to women and children who experience domestic violence.
We provide:
· 24 hour access to crisis accommodation and safety through a network of 3 refuges in Belfast and Lisburn city.
· Outreach Service to support women and children to stay safely in their homes and communities.
· Two One Stop Shops located in Belfast and Downpatrick providing women with information and advice from a numbers of agencies at the one location.
· Aftercare support, personal development and domestic violence group work programmes.
· Programmes and activities for children and young people in refuges and through outreach.
· Information, awareness raising sessions and training programmes on domestic violence.
