2011-2012 Programme
The Netherlands Trade Development Programme will officially launch on Tuesday 28th February, with the annual NI-NL Trade Network New Year's Drinks Reception and Dinner on Wednesday 1st February in the Great Hall of Queen's University, Belfast. The trade visit to the Netherlands will then take place the week beginning the 23rd April 2012. 2010-2011 Programme
From 31st January - 3rd February 2011 five Lisburn businesses participated on the trade mission to the Netherlands.
The Lisburn companies that participated are:

Vice Chair of the Economic Development Committee, Alderman Allan Ewart with Tom Smyth (MSM Promotions), who was a participant on the Netherlands Trade Development Programme 2010/2011.
KEY OUTPUTS
During the trade visit, 25 individual meetings were successfully completed, averaging at 5 meetings per company and from partcipant feedback, new trade opportunities of over €1,440,000 have been anticipated as a result of the programme.
The companies joined up to 50 other Northern Ireland businesses and their Dutch partners at the annual NI-NL Trade Network New Year’s Drinks Reception and Trade Dinner, which was held at De Industrieele Groote Club Amsterdam.

In 2009 Lisburn City Council was pleased to run its 8th consecutive trade development programme to the Netherlands. The Dutch marketplace has realised many successes for Lisburn companies. From participant feedback new trade opportunities of over € 1.7 million can be generated from the programme over the coming 18 months.
Funded by the Council and the EU through the Sustainable Competitivenes Programme for Northern Ireland 2007-2013, and managed by Northern Ireland Trade Consultant (NITC), the programme in 2009/2010 once again assisted growth orientated local businesses to identify and develop new market opportunities and strategic business partnerships in the Netherlands.
