Lisburn City Council in partnership with Belfast City Council is funding a dedicated Franchise Development Programme.
This project has two main strands:
The Franchise Programme helps support potential entrepreneurs to understand franchising opportunities and to evaluate existing franchises with the aim of purchasing and starting their own business.
The Franchise Your Business Programme helps support local businesses to identify opportunities for gearing up their own business, developing systems and procedures that allow the business to be replicated in a franchise format.
These programmes are supported and funded by the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme 2007-2013.
To request an application form or discuss any aspect of this programme, contact Hazel King, Economic Development Manager on Tel 028 9250 9484 or Email hazel.king@lisburn.gov.uk.

Brian Agnew, Superchip Sauces with Chair of the Economic Development Committee, Alderman Jim Dillon.
In 2009-2010, the Franchising Programme created 8 new franchise businesses and provided 4 local businesses with the skills and expertise to improve the overall competitiveness and profitability of their business operations through developing a franchise model, two of which have already sold their first franchise.
