TRADE VISIT TO ROMANIA

From 22nd to 26th March 2011 Lisburn City Council brought four local businesses on a trade visit to Romania, as part of the Central and Eastern European Trade Development Programme.

The overall aim of the trade mission was to identify and establish new business opportunities for the participating companies, which included Whitemountain Quarries Ltd, Unitrunk Ltd, Matcon Shopfitting and Direct Contract Packing (IRE) Ltd. These local businesses were provided with a four day itinerary of individually tailored business meetings which had been arranged with potential new business contacts from across Romania.

A delegation representing Lisburn City Council also participated in the trade mission and was led by Alderman Jim Dillon, Vice-Chairman of the Council's Economic Development Committee.
